Fall Semester Event Recap

Back 2 Bentley

Back 2 Bentley set the tone for the rest of the semester to come. A day which our students always look forward to included performances from Bryce Vine and Cousin Stizz. The bulk of the day included food trucks and lawn games for students to celebrate with their friends and peers.

Summerfest

One of the best ways to start the semester is with Summerfest – a weekend long event to celebrate student’s first weekend back on campus after a long summer. This year there was a carnival theme called “Big Top Bentley”. The weekend included food trucks, a smores table, carnival games, bouncy houses, and many prizes for everyone!

A Phield Day

Alpha Phi, one of the sororities on campus, organized a full field day for the student body to participate in. There were a number of teams who competed in each of the games and helped raise money for the Alpha Phi Foundation and women’s health heart programs.

Shark Tank

AIA hosted their biggest annual event of the semester – Shark Tank. Here students had the opportunity to pitch an idea of an event or program on behalf of their student organization to 5 Bentley sharks for a chance to win up to $10,000 in funding. There were many student organizations who participated and five winners including Korean Student Association, Black United Body, Senior Class Cabinet, and more!

Diwali

SASA hosted their annual Diwali celebration. Diwali is a popular festival in Hinduism and a big part of our student body’s culture. This year it had a SpongeBob theme to add a fun flair to the traditional celebration!

Asian Market Night

A number of cultural student orgs partnered together to host a big event celebrating Asian culture. They had food from every part of Asia and they even sold Boba to raise money for their org! Students enjoyed learning more about the culture through games, trivia, Q&A, and of course through eating some good food! Some of the orgs that participated include Bentley Associate for Chinese Students, Korean Student Association, and more.

Drag Bingo

Pride hosted yet another successful Drag Bingo event. This night had over 75 attendees to watch the show and included students, faculty and staff. The audience was filled with laughter and good times watching the performers dance, sing, and act all throughout the night. They even had drag kinds who facilitated bingo. Congrats again to those lucky bingo winners!

BUB Wild n Out

Black United Body hosted Wild N’ Out which was an event that brought together student orgs from other universities together at Bentley for a night of food, comedy, and performances. The night of games included everything from rap battles, to pop culture trivia, improv and more. The event ended with a bang as Cousin Stizz preformed a few songs on stage for the audience.
