Inauguration of Dr. Alison Davis-Blake

The theme of the Inauguration ceremonies was, “A Century of Growth. A future of Leadership.” The inauguration activities reflected this theme last week.

Tuesday started with the Student Symposium: Armchair Conversation with President Davis-Blake, Shawn Quinn and Ryan Quinn. The conversation centered around how to be successful in the work force. Then the Tree Planting Ceremony and Reception commenced right after the Symposium. The tree planting symbolized growth for Bentley with Davis-Blake.

On Thursday of Inauguration week there was an Academic Symposium: The Future of Work where faculty could go and learn on how to prepare their students for their future careers and hear from professionals from Bentley, Harvard, and MIT.

Finally, the Installation Ceremony ended the week with the installing of Dr. Alison Davis-Blake as President of Bentley University! It was exciting event with a live band and representation from all the athletic teams as well.

Swim team co-captain, Kate Kaduboski (‘19), shares, “I am so excited and optimistic for what the future holds as Bentley moves forward with President Alison Davis-Blake. Her ceremonial tree planting and inspiring speech emphasize the school’s capability to continue rising as one of the nation’s top business schools.”

Many exciting events happening this week for Halloween, be sure to stay tuned on SP&E’s instagram and bentleyspeak.com’s programming calendar!
